Thanks!

Thanks for following along. If you ever want to relive the trip, go for it! I know I want to. Maybe someday I'll get to....hopefully not alone though. But I would still do it again, that is for sure. I finally figured out how to minimize the number of post per page, so to access past dates on the trip, go the archives. Remember: pictures that are not labeled "A Picture Share" are probably not from my phone, but my real camera and can be enlarged by clicking on the picture. Enjoy!

Returning the Car to Enterprise. The final picture. What a RIDE!!!! Hope you enjoyed it as much as me!

Total Mileage

Not bad for 16 days. Home at 2:39pm Wednesday April 19th!

But...

But it is good to be back....real good. I feel as though the mission has been accomplished. The adventure is completed.

Let's get home!

Pano of the Lemhi Valley - click picture

I present to you the final picture of astonishment that wowed me on my road trip. Sadly, Blogger will not allow me to put a very large picture on the site. However, it was great. You may be able notice toward the right side of the screen a wee town of 90 people known as Leadore.

Perspective Photo

This picture should give you some perspective of this valley. Let me explain. You'll see, near my left hand, a road the leads to a circle with two small buildings inside the circle. From the circle, follow the road down, and too the left - can you make out the Chevy Impala? Also....do you see any houses in that valley? This is what is known as "hinterland."

Time to hike.

The first picture is from the campsite looking up the mountain. You'll see, if you click on the picture to make it bigger, the small trees that stood next too while taking my picture. For your enrichment, I have added a picture of one of those trees, which can also be clicked on for a larger version.

Where I camped.

I had already taken down my tent by this point in the morning. Found some sweet firewood though. But do to winds come off the mountains, couldn't build a very big fire :( Also, although I attempted to sleep in my tent for about an hour and half, I found my body temperature conituing to fall, forcing me to sleep one last night in the car. The rippling brook was a nice bonus. And the stars....amazing. My thermometer read 14 degrees however. I believe the elevation of my campground was around 6800 feet, hence the cold.

Sunset in the Lemhi Valley and looking back down the Lehmi Valley. Continental Divide on one side, Lehmi on the other....and nothing in between except for animals.

Rewind: Wind Issues

This was Tuesday afternoon while I drove through Wyoming. I saw MANY of these. Huge winds just blowing the trailers and cabs all over the place. Just nuts I tell you.
